Measure the bore
Measure the shaft the yoke slides onto, not the old yoke’s outside. Check the keyway width too: 1/4″ for 7/8″ and 1″ bores, 3/8″ for 1 1/4″, 6 mm for metric bores.
Match the series
The cross kit must match the yoke series. Series 1 uses the A110 cross, HS500 the A165, Series 2 the A220, Series 6 couplings the A600.
Double couplings
A double universal coupling is two joints joined by an “H” yoke. It runs at a wider angle than a single joint. The “H” yoke is sold separately for repairs.
