Bare-Co PTO driveline parts
Yoke Buttons, Cotter Bolts and Shear Bolts
Quick release push pin buttons for U.S., Bare-Co, BYPY and Walterscheid yokes, cotter bolts for clamp yokes and slip clutches, and shear bolts for shear bolt yokes.
Safety: U.S. safety standards do not allow quick release buttons that stick out in the leading direction of rotation on the tractor PTO. Modern buttons stick out in the trailing direction only. Old yokes with a pin that comes through the back of the yoke must be replaced with a modern yoke, not just a new button.
Match the button
Buttons are made for the yoke brand and spline size: 1 3/8″ (35 mm) or 1 3/4″ (44 mm). Walterscheid buttons are listed with their Agraset numbers so you can cross check.
Cotter bolts
Clamp yokes and slip clutches are held on the splines by a cotter (clamp) bolt. Replace it if it is bent or the threads are worn, and tighten it fully.
Shear bolts
Use the correct grade of shear bolt. A harder bolt will not shear and can break the shaft or gearbox.
